Shipping Guide

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Choose a transport option, understand the quote and prepare your cargo for delivery. Start with your destination, cargo-ready date and the date you need stock available. BEXSTAR will help you compare the eligible services.

Sea freight: plan ahead for larger shipments.

Sea freight can suit planned replenishment, consolidated cartons and palletized cargo when your delivery window allows time for the ocean leg and destination handling. The final leg may be by parcel carrier or truck; these have different receiving requirements and timing.

Share your carton count, total weight and volume, destination ZIP/postal code or assigned warehouse code, and cargo-ready date. We will review the route, sailing, customs arrangements and final-mile option. A sailing or port reference does not by itself confirm door delivery.

Air freight: match urgency to the full delivery journey.

Air freight may suit time-sensitive replenishment and eligible samples. Flight time is only part of the journey: origin handling, customs clearance and the destination handover also affect when the cargo reaches the receiver.

Provide the packed dimensions and actual weight of every carton, product details and destination. Chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight under the booked service’s rules. Maximum dimensions, weight limits and acceptance vary by channel and carrier.

Rail & truck: check the route and receiving point.

Rail and cross-border road services are available on selected routes. Country coverage, border procedures and departures must be checked for the shipment. These services may include an additional parcel or truck leg at destination.

For palletized or truck delivery, tell us about receiving hours, appointment requirements, vehicle access and unloading equipment. A residential address or remote postcode may require a different arrangement. We confirm the delivery method before booking.

Express: review each parcel before dispatch.

International express can suit eligible, urgent parcels. The service depends on the goods, destination and packed size. Batteries, liquids, powders and other restricted items need a product-specific review before acceptance.

Express chargeable weight commonly uses a different volumetric divisor from an air-freight channel. We confirm the applicable divisor, rounding, minimum charge and any oversize or remote-area fees in the quote.

What does the quoted price include?

Tax and delivery arrangements are confirmed for each channel and shipment. A service label or website example is not a universal promise that all taxes and fees are included.

  • Import duty: whether it is included, how it is assessed and who pays it.
  • VAT, GST, HST or other destination taxes: whether each applicable tax is included or payable separately, and by whom.
  • Customs clearance: the importer, documentation and standard clearance scope, plus the treatment of inspections, storage or other exceptional charges.
  • Final delivery: the receiving address or warehouse, parcel or truck service, appointments, unloading and any remote-area or redelivery charges.

Where DDP is agreed, the written quote must identify the named destination and agreed delivery terms. Any variation or tax exclusion must be stated expressly before booking. Please ask us to clarify anything that is not itemized; do not assume an unlisted charge is included.

Which part of the journey does a transit estimate cover?

Compare estimates only when their start and end points match. We distinguish:

  1. Cargo ready and origin handling: collection, consolidation, documentation and the booking cut-off.
  2. International departure: the actual flight, vessel, train or road departure specified for the service.
  3. Arrival and clearance: arrival at the destination gateway and release by customs.
  4. Carrier handover or warehouse delivery: the endpoint named in the quote. Handover to a parcel carrier is not delivery to the receiver.
  5. Marketplace receiving: delivery to Amazon, Walmart or TikTok does not mean the stock is checked in or available for sale.

Website ranges are planning references, not guaranteed arrival dates. Working-day and calendar-day ranges are labeled separately; if a table does not specify the day basis or endpoint, ask us to confirm it before relying on the estimate. Booking availability, inspections, weather, congestion, holidays and receiving appointments can affect timing. Tell us your required stock-availability date so we can assess a realistic plan.

Prepare once. Avoid surprises later.

Send a product description, carton count, packed weight and dimensions, origin city and destination country plus postcode or warehouse code. We can coordinate collection from major Chinese cities and help with quantity checks, visual inspections, photos, labeling, repacking and consolidation as agreed for your shipment.

Inspection scope should be agreed in advance. A visual or quantity check does not replace product testing, certification or the seller’s compliance obligations. For marketplace deliveries, use the labels, shipment plan and receiving instructions assigned to your order.

Common shipping questions

How is volumetric weight calculated?

For a carton measured in centimeters: length × width × height ÷ the channel’s divisor = volumetric weight in kilograms. Some air channels use 6,000 and express channels commonly use 5,000. These are examples, not a universal rule. Billing uses the greater of actual and volumetric weight, with the minimums, rounding and measurement method of the booked channel. Your written quote confirms the calculation.

Can I use one maximum carton size for every country?

No. Size, girth and weight limits depend on the channel and final carrier. Send the packed measurements before dispatch. Oversized cargo may need a pallet or truck service instead of a parcel service.

What if the carrier shows delivered but my stock is not available?

Proof of delivery confirms a transport milestone. Marketplace receiving, checks and stock availability are separate. We can help review the delivery evidence and freight handover; the seller should also use the marketplace’s receiving or investigation process.

What happens if customs asks for more information?

We help coordinate the documents requested for the booked service. Clearance depends on the goods, importer, declaration and authorities’ review. Share complete product information before booking so we can check the requirements with you.
